[Funding alert] Murf AI raises $10 mn in Series A funding

With participation from existing investor Elevation Capital, the startup Murf AI raised $10 million in a Series A investment round. Matrix Partners India served as the round’s lead investor.

Ajay Arora, SVP Product, Disney Streaming; Ankit Bhati, Founder, Ola; Ashwini Asokan, Founder, Mad Street Den; Pushkar Mukewar, Founder, Drip Capital; and Yamini Bhat, Founder, Vymo participated in the round as well.

Murf AI intends to use these funds to expedite R&D, expand its footprint in targeted geographies, and promote additional product innovation.

“Synthetic media is poised to become omnipresent in the near future and voice is at the core of it. Murf is an AI-based SaaS application that enables users to create “human-like” voice over work for videos and presentations without the need for expensive recording devices or hiring a voice actor. It was founded in 2020 by Sneha Roy, Ankur Edkie, and Divyanshu Pandey.
