Green Frontier Capital (GFC) has invested $1.5 million in RAS, an Indian direct-to-consumer skincare and personal hygiene startup that follows a farm-to-face approach. RAS also received support from its existing investors for this funding round.
In May of the previous year, RAS secured $2 million in funding from Sixth Sense Ventures.
RAS was established in 2017 in Raipur, Chhattisgarh by Sangeeta Jain along with her daughters Suramya Jain and Subhika Jain. This startup specializes in creating cosmetics and personal care items using natural ingredients, as per reported by Inc42.

Commenting on the fundraiser, Suramya Jain said, “Our ingredients are cultivated organically in our farms and/or acquired from local farmers and manufacturers who are well regarded for purity and freshness. The ingredients are researched and formulated in our in-house DSIR-approved R&D facility and manufactured in our government-approved facility followed by packing and timely dispatch to our customers.”
Since its inception, RAS has been experiencing a growth rate of 300% year-on-year, as per its claims.
The recent funding of $1.5 million received from Green Frontier Capital (GFC) will be utilized by RAS to introduce innovative products and expand its presence across the Indian market. The startup plans to deepen its penetration into the beauty and personal care industry by ramping up its workforce in both Raipur and Mumbai.
