Zeus Hygia, a research-driven nutraceutical ingredient manufacturer, has secured $2.5 million in its Series A funding round from NABVENTURES, the venture capital arm of NABARD.
The funds will be used to grow globally, improve research and development, and create new products for pain relief, weight loss, women’s health and healthy aging.

Founded in 2018 by Arunkanth Krishnakumar and Shankaranarayanan Jeyakodi, Hyderabad-based Zeus Hygia makes clinically proven, plant-based herbal extracts for pharmaceutical, nutraceutical, and OTC brands. It follows a B2B model, supplying effective natural ingredients to wellness companies in over 15 countries.
Its product line includes eight unique ingredients like BioSOLVE Curcumin, Grantria, and Stadice, with more on the way.
The startup holds nine patents, has published over 20 scientific papers, and uses five in-house technologies to ensure its products are natural, safe, and effective. Zeus Hygia is also growing in North America with a U.S. unit and expanding in Southeast Asia and MENA through partnerships and joint projects.
