AI-powered astrology startup Vaya has raised $1.5 million in a funding round co-led by Silicon Valley-based venture capital firm Accel and early-stage venture capital firm Arkam Ventures.
Other investors including Weekend Fund, along with angel investors including Sumer Juneja, managing partner for India and EMEA at SoftBank, and Sarthak Mishra, partner at SoftBank India, also participated in this round.
The funds will mainly be used to grow Vaya’s core team, improve its AI technology, and build a strong network of Vedic astrology experts.

With this support, the company plans to grow faster and reach a $1 million annual run rate. Since its launch, Vaya’s revenue has already been growing 60% month-on-month.
"Astrology holds deep significance in Indian society, influencing decisions across all walks of life — from the wealthiest families to local kirana shop owners — on matters as personal and high-stakes as marriage, relationships, and careers. Yet, the field remains largely traditional, fragmented, and lacking standardized practices and transparency,” said Maahin Puri, co-founder at Vaya.
“At Vaya, we are building a trusted platform to reimagine astrological guidance for the modern, digital-first Indian consumer — blending human intuition with the power of AI to make astrology more accessible, credible, and relevant," he added.
“Vaya is building in a space that is culturally foundational yet has seen little technological innovation. Maahin and Nitesh are building for a digital-first generation that increasingly seeks credible, accessible, and personalized guidance. As the broader spiritual and wellness tech sector gains momentum in India, we believe Vaya is creating a category-defining product with the potential to transform how astrology — and spiritual advisory at large — is experienced," said Manasi Shah, Vice President at Accel.
“India’s spiritual and astrology services present a massive market opportunity. The horoscope segment alone in India is valued at nearly $10 billion. Yet, the consumer experience remains fragmented, informal, and largely offline,” said Rahul Chandra, managing director of Arkam. “This is a sector primed for large-scale digital transformation.”
About Vaya
Founded in 2025 by Maahin Puri and Nitesh Kumar Niranjan, the Delhi-based Vaya provides personalised astrology consultations through a selected group of astrologers, backed by an AI engine that helps interpret complex astrological data.
Vaya, launched two months ago, has about 11 in-house astrologers, and each session lasts around 40 minutes. It uses a pay-per-minute model, with time bundles of 5, 20, and 40 minutes.
The platform is targeting users in India and NRIs, especially in the US and then in Canada.
