Uni Seoul Raises Rs 5 Cr In Seed Funding Led By Sauce VC

Contemporary lifestyle brand raised Rs 5 crore in a seed funding round led by Sauce VC.

The round also saw participation from Panthera Peak Ventures, Arun Venkatachalam, Sangeet Agrawal, Navin Parwal and Yogesh Kabra.

Uni Seoul will use the funds to open more offline stores in major cities like Bengaluru, Hyderabad, and Chennai. It also plans to launch new private labels, upgrade its online store, boost marketing and improve its supply chain.

Founded by Gaurav Karmani and Mohit Khurana, Uni Seoul sells products in home and living, personal care, gifting, and fashion accessories. It runs four profitable stores in Pune, Hyderabad, Bangalore, and Nashik.

Uni Seoul offers over 700 products across its categories. About 40% of the products are made in India through contract manufacturers, while the rest are sourced from more than 200 suppliers in South Korea, India, China, and Vietnam.

Currently, Uni Seoul has two offline stores in Pune and Nashik. It launched its online store in October 2023, which now brings in 27% of its revenue, even without marketing.

The brand has strong customer loyalty, an average rating of 4.8 across platforms, and plans to triple its growth over the next year.
