Turiyam.ai raises $4 Mn in pre-seed round

Deeptech startup Turiyam.ai has secured $4 million (about ₹36 Cr) in its pre-seed funding round led by Ankur Capital and Axilor’s early-stage investment fund Micelio Fund. 

The startup will use the funds to accelerate product development, grow its team, and support early rollouts with enterprises and data centres in India and abroad.

Part of the new capital will also go toward expanding research and development and supporting commercial deployments in the coming months.

About Turiyam.ai 

Founded in 2024 by Sanchayan Sinha, Parag Jain and Praveen Jain, Turiyam.ai is a Bengaluru-based deeptech startup that builds AI computing infrastructure focused on AI inference — the stage where trained AI models are used to generate responses and power real-time applications at scale.

The startup is currently testing its products in pilot projects with selected enterprises.

Instead of focusing on training large AI models, Turiyam.ai aims to solve the rising cost and energy challenges of running AI systems continuously in enterprises and data centres.

It is developing a full-stack platform that combines custom hardware and integrated software. By designing both together, the company aims to improve performance and efficiency.

Its system includes a hybrid memory design and a compiler-based optimisation layer to handle inference-heavy workloads better, improve performance per watt, and reduce overall costs.

By building both the chip architecture and software in tandem, the startup aims to provide a more energy efficient and cost effective alternative to traditional GPU-based AI setups, positioning itself as an infrastructure player in the growing ai and semiconductor ecosystem.
