TIEA Connectors Raises Rs 22 Cr From Jamwant Ventures And Valour Capital

TIEA Connectors Private Limited, has successfully raised Rs 22 crore in its latest funding round led by Jamwant Ventures and Valour Capital, with participation from 8X Ventures and IvyCap.

The funds will be used to grow the business, boost innovation, and keep providing solutions to customers.

Earlier, the company raised $1.43 million in funding from Plantain Tree Ventures.

“We are thrilled to partner with Jamwant Ventures, Valour Capital, 8X Ventures, and IvyCap as we scale our operations, drive innovation, and continue delivering world-class solutions to our customers,” said Ajith Sasidharan, CEO of TIEA Connectors

“Our investment in TIEA aligns with our mission to support indigenous manufacturing and enhance India’s industrial ecosystem. The company’s demand is far exceeding supply and this funding will enable them to scale operations, expand manufacturing capacity and advance their R&D initiatives,” said Karan Goshar, Managing Partner at Valour Capital.

 “TIEA bridges the gap for creating specifically developed electronic and electrical connectors, enabling Indian manufacturers to focus on creation of their own innovative equipment/designs, with their supply chains within India. The need for a domestic player in this sector has been felt by the Indian defence sector for a long time. Jamwant is focussed on providing strategic capital to Indian Entrepreneurs in Defence and Aerospace sectors” said Cdr Navneet Kaushik, Managing Partner at Jamwant Ventures.

Founded in 2019 by Ajith Sasidharan and Punit Shridhar Joshi, TIEA Connectors, incubated at the Indian Institute of Science (IISc), continues to work closely with the institute on advanced technologies. With several patents granted, the company is focused on innovation and boosting India’s local electronics manufacturing (ESDM) capabilities.

Its products are used in key industries like electric vehicles (EV), aerospace, consumer electronics, and defense. TIEA designs and makes different types of interconnect solutions and has worked with major players in these sectors.

The company says it has grown 4x in FY25 and is currently running at 90% of its manufacturing capacity.
