Superfone secures $1.9 Mn in funding round

Superfone, an all-in-one business phone and CRM app for small and medium-sized businesses (SMBs), has raised $1.9 million (around Rs 15.71 crore) in its pre-Series A funding round. The round was led by YourNest Venture Capital, which invested $950,000, along with contributions from Ankur Capital, Finsight Seed Fund, and a group of angel investors.

The funding is part of the YourNest-SanchiConnect Velocity Program 2024, an accelerator program by YourNest and SanchiConnect to support fast-growing startups.

Superfone said in a press release that the funds will be used to acquire national telecom licenses, strengthen its engineering and product teams with senior hires, and expand its customer acquisition efforts to increase its reach and impact.

Superfone, based in Bengaluru and founded in 2021 by Pradeep Dodle and Nikhil Goenka, aims to transform business phone numbers by replacing traditional SIM cards with a fully app-based solution. This solution integrates advanced tools like CRM, lead management, WhatsApp marketing, and AI-powered agents.

This approach helps solve key communication and operational challenges for small businesses, enabling over 10 million SMBs in India to grow faster, improve customer engagement, and simplify operations.

The company uses a software-first approach to offer SMBs an easy-to-use telecom platform that combines communication, CRM, and marketing tools to boost growth and efficiency. It plans to expand globally, targeting fast-growing markets in Southeast Asia (SEA) and Latin America.

Superfone recently announced that it has obtained a Unified License (VNO) for the Karnataka telecom circle and a Unified License (Audio Conferencing/Audiotex/Voice Mail Service) for all of India from the Department of Telecommunications (DoT).
