Indian sports tech startup StepOut has raised $500,000 in a seed funding round led by Rainmatter, founded by Zerodha CEO Nithin Kamath.
Investors IndigoEdge, Marwah Sports Group, and Misfits Capital also participated in this round.
The funds will be used to expand StepOut’s business in the US, Australia, the Middle East, and Spain. It will also improve its AI features and develop its platform, including a web app for coaches and analysts and a mobile app for players.

"Sports performance analysis technology is typically available only to top-tier teams, leaving grassroots and youth levels underserved. StepOut bridges this gap by making advanced technology accessible and affordable across the entire pyramid," said, Jeet Karmakar, co-founder of StepOut.
