Space tech startup Ulook raises Rs 19 crore in round

Ulook, a spacetech startup, has raised Rs 19 crore in a funding round co-led by GrowX Ventures and InfoEdge Ventures.

“We’ve been seeing a surge of shadow fleets in the Indian Ocean. Our satellites can detect their hidden radio markers to pinpoint where they are, how they move, and how long they’ve stayed in a given area,” said, Siddhesh Naik, cofounder & CEO of Ulook.

“Most of the funding is going into building our first prototype in North Bangalore and rigorously testing it on the ground before launch. We’ve seen what happens when testing is overlooked. So a large part is earmarked for validation and verification,” Adheesh Boratkar, cofounder of Ulook, added.

About ULook 

Founded in 2024 by Siddhesh Naik and Adheesh Boratkar, ULook builds on their experience with low-Earth orbit satellites, UAV swarm systems, and a high-altitude pseudo-satellite prototype.

The startup is building autonomous satellite swarms that use radio frequency (RF) sensing to detect, track, and analyze activity on Earth—especially in areas where visibility is poor or traditional tracking methods don’t work well.

Unlike regular satellites that capture optical images, these satellites collect “RF snapshots,” which are radio frequency patterns showing signals sent from ships, aircraft, or ground-based devices.
