“The investment by Anicut will enable the expansion of our one-stop-shop B2B solutions to over 20 cities in the next 12 months”, said Saurabh Pandey, Co-Founder of Sedna.

“With increasing technology adoption, advent of innovative business models, emergence of national retail players and launch of new food brands, this is the right time to build an integrated, technology-enabled B2B solutions business for the HoReCa industry offering standardised products and solutions at consistent quality, availability and costs across the country,” he added.

About Sedna HoReCa

Founded in July 2022 by Mahadevan Narayanamoni and Saurabh Pandey, The company brings together software, distribution, and food products under one platform. Its services are organized into three areas- B2B software (SaaS), commerce and distribution, and ready-to-cook and ready-to-serve food products.

In software, it offers SupplyNote (for inventory management) and BillNote (a POS system for restaurants and cafés). For distribution, it provides Vyap, a supply platform and SupplyLink, a logistics service for HoReCa businesses.

These tools help solve common problems like high purchase costs, unreliable supply chains, and inventory losses.

Sedna is also entering the food products space with items made for restaurants, food courts, D2C brands, and commercial kitchens. It’s building a new food production unit in Bengaluru and will expand an existing one.

Sedna aims to solve the key problems faced by the HoReCa industry, like rising purchase costs, inconsistent supply, long delivery times, and inventory loss from theft.
