Poshs Metal Raises Rs 43 Cr  Led By Aavishkaar Capital

Poshs Metal Industries, a company that specializes in auto-grade flat steel processing, has raised Rs 43 crore ($5 million) in a funding round led by The Global Supply Chain Support Fund, managed by Aavishkaar Capital in partnership with Germany’s development bank KfW.

The funds will be used to set up a new processing facility in Aurangabad, helping Poshs Metal serve its OEM clients more efficiently.

Asheer Kapoor, Promoter and Director at Poshs Metal, shared that the funding comes at a crucial time as the company expands in Aurangabad. 

He also said that capacity will enhance customer service and strengthen the company's commitment to quality and innovation, with investor support highlighting confidence in its long-term goals. 

Abhishek Mittal, Partner–Credit at the Global Supply Chain Support Fund, Aavishkaar Capital, stated that the investment will help Poshs set up a modern steel processing facility in Aurangabad, boosting its presence in Western India. He also noted that as the automotive sector shifts towards electric vehicles and sustainability, Poshs' focus on ESG practices, efficient logistics, and timely delivery will be key to its success. 

Stephanie Lindemann-Kohrs, Global Head of Equity and Funds at KfW Development Bank, explained that KfW’s investment in the Fund, on behalf of the German government, aims to improve environmental and social standards in companies connected to European supply chains.

Founded in 1998 by Ashok Kapoor, POSHS Metal Limited (Poshs Group) is a steel service center that works with top automotive manufacturers. It has had an exclusive partnership with Tata Steel for 25 years to process and distribute steel in Western India.
