Nodwin Gaming has Secured Rs 64 crore in Funding

Nazara Technologies approved Rs 64 crore in investment for Nodwin Gaming, a player in the modern youth entertainment, gaming, and esports market.

The funds received will mostly be used to support NODWIN Gaming's continuous growth momentum, with an emphasis on improving its skills, expanding its portfolio of intellectual properties (IPs), and fortifying its position in emerging countries.

Plans to launch a private funding round have been approved by NODWIN Gaming's Board in order to expedite the company's goal of becoming a dominant force in the industry. 

“As the first investor backing this investment, NAZARA and NODWIN boards have both ratified this investment that is in the form of convertible preferred stock,” the company said.

“As we continue on our growth and expansion journey, we remain fully committed to building a truly global company coming from India that leads with innovation, expanding our capabilities in New age media in emerging markets. Our focus is on capturing the attention and Timeshare of Mindshare of the global youth,” said Akshat Rathee, Co-founder and MD, NODWIN Gaming.

The Gurugram-based business was worth $410 million as of November of this year, according to the company. 

NODWIN Gaming recently added strategic acquisitions to its portfolio, such as the German esports and gaming marketing agency Freaks 4U Gaming, the events company Comic Con, the Turkish esports and gaming company Ninja Global, the Singapore-based live events company Branded, and the marketing agency Publishme, which focuses on West Asia and Turkey.
