Netrasemi has raised Rs 10 crore in Pre-Series A Round Funding

Netrasemi is a semiconductor startup based in Kerala, raised Rs 10 crore from Unicorn India Ventures in its pre-Series A financing to develop Edge AI for Internet of Things products.

Netra A2000 and Netra R1000 are two ML SoC chips that will be fabricated using the money provided.

Netrasemi, an Indian Edge AI semiconductor technology business, was founded in 2020 by Jyothis Indirabhai, Sreejith Varma, and Deepa Geetha. The company builds system-on-chips (SOC) to meet the modern demand for efficient computing for smart IoT goods.

According to the business, Edge AI product development is made easy, quick, and affordable by providing a family of AI/ML capable SOCs and reference designs for resolving more than 100 AI/ML use cases.

These chips, which are integrated into motherboards, enable these devices to do sophisticated AI-based analytics without transferring data to servers or the cloud, making them intelligent, affordable, responsive, and self-sufficient. 

The business has gotten positive feedback over the past 12 months from major OEMs in a number of nations that work in the industrial, telecom, and medical sectors.

The company reports that it has begun to generate robust revenue growth and profits of approximately $0.75 million from chip design and porting services for strategy partners. This will increase to 150% with IP revenue in FY25 and will continue to expand starting in FY27 once volume production of chips begins.
