Nazara Technologies, India’s leading listed gaming and sports media company has announced investments worth INR 196 crores to expand its presence in gaming, education and entertainment sectors. These initiatives aim to bolster the company’s position as a diversified gaming and entertainment platform.

Key Acquisitions and Investments

1. Funky Monkeys Play Centers
Nazara acquired a 60% stake in Funky Monkeys Play Centers for INR 43.7 crores. With 11 indoor play centers across India, Funky Monkeys provides interactive entertainment for children aged 6 months to 14 years. The partnership will enable synergies with Nazara’s existing digital properties like Kiddopia.  

2. Learntube ai
A 4.7% stake in Learntube.ai was acquired for INR 4.2 crores. This AI-powered platform offers interactive, gamified learning experiences to over 20 lakh learners focusing on affordable professional education. The collaboration aims to innovate education on a global scale.

Increased Shareholding in Subsidiaries  

Nazara has allocated INR 148 crores to increase its ownership in key subsidiaries:  
Nodwin Gaming: An investment of INR 64 crores to support the expansion of Nodwin’s esports IPs and global footprint.  
Sportskeeda: An investment of INR 69 crores to acquire a 100% stake, making it a wholly owned subsidiary.  
Datawrkz: A planned investment of INR 15 crores to support its growth in digital advertising.
