Maieutic Semiconductor Raises $4.15 Mn Seed Funding to Revolutionize Chip Design with GenAI

Bengaluru-based deep-tech startup Maieutic Semiconductor has raised $4.15 million in a seed funding round, co-led by Endiya Partners and Exfinity Venture Partners. The funding will be used to expand the engineering team, accelerate time to market, and support key hires, according to the company’s press release.

Founded in March 2025 by Gireesh Rajendran, Ashish Lachhwani, Rakesh Kumar, and Krishna Sankar, Maieutic aims to reimagine chip design through the integration of generative AI into semiconductor workflows.

“Our GenAI-first solution enables faster, smarter chip development by dramatically shortening the design cycle and automating expert-level reviews,” said Gireesh Rajendran, Founder & CEO.

Maieutic’s AI-powered platform acts as a copilot for analog IC design, helping identify design inconsistencies, assess trade-offs intelligently, and significantly reduce cycle times — bringing weeks-long processes down to days. The startup is targeting high-impact sectors like automotive, industrial electronics, and next-gen communication systems.

The semiconductor industry, projected to surpass $1 trillion globally by 2030, is increasingly seeking automation-driven solutions to address rising design complexities and time-to-market pressures.

Maieutic is well-positioned in this space, leveraging the founding team’s deep expertise. Notably, CEO Gireesh Rajendran previously co-founded Steradian Semiconductors, which was acquired by Renesas Electronics. Endiya Partners were also early backers of that venture.

“The combination of proven leadership, deep analog expertise, and AI integration makes Maieutic a standout in semiconductor innovation,” said Endiya Partners in a statement.

Exfinity Venture Partners, known for backing deep-tech players like Kinara.ai, sees Maieutic as part of the next wave of chip design startups transforming the semiconductor stack.

With this funding, Maieutic aims to pioneer a new category of GenAI-enabled design tools that not only automate but intelligently guide the semiconductor development process — potentially redefining how chips are built for the future.
