Kriscore Capital Secures First Close Of Rs 200 Cr Early-Stage Tech Fund

Newly-floated venture capital firm Kriscore Capital has announced the first close of its maiden Rs 200 crore ($23.3 million) fund, with an initial corpus of Rs 100 crore and a greenshoe option for an additional Rs 100 crore. 

Kriscore has secured Rs 50 crore so far from family offices and high-net-worth individuals (HNIs).

Over the next 12 months, the firm plans to invest in 16 to 18 early-stage startups, focusing on areas like digital consumer services, supply chain resilience, export-oriented solutions, generative AI, and net-zero ideas that tackle greenhouse gas emissions.

Kriscore has made its first investment in a startup that’s currently in stealth mode.

General Partner Nilesh Balakrishnan, previously with WaterBridge Ventures, said the firm aims to offer both funding and strategic guidance to help build globally impactful businesses.

Kriscore’s advisory board includes experienced leaders like D Sundaram (Infosys), Shyam Srinivasan (ex-Federal Bank), and Manish Khetarpal (WaterBridge Ventures), adding strong strategic support to the firm.

Kriscore Capital is launching just as India’s startup ecosystem is bouncing back. After a slow phase, more venture capital firms are raising funds to support innovative startups.

With its first round of funding complete, Kriscore is ready to step into India’s growing tech startup space, offering both funding and expert guidance to help the next wave of entrepreneurs grow.
