Koriken, a Korean cuisine startup, has raised Rs 4 crore in a seed funding round led by Rukam Capital.

The startup plans to use the funds to fuel the next phase of growth and make authentic Korean flavors more accessible to Indian consumers.

Hasan Patel, Founder and CEO, said, “At Koriken, we are on a mission to make Korean street food a mainstream dining choice in India. About Koriken 

Founded in 2022 by Hasan Patel, Koriken operates Korean quick-service restaurants offering dishes such as Korean fried chicken, ramen and mandu. 

Koriken focuses on delivering consistent, affordable, and innovative Korean food while staying true to its authentic flavors.

With Swiggy and Zomato reporting nearly 50% year-on-year growth in Korean food orders, demand is rising, especially among Gen Z, who now account for over a quarter of all orders. Popularity is also spreading beyond major metros to tier-2 cities like Surat, Thiruvananthapuram, Vadodara, Mysuru, and Mangaluru, with Korean restaurants and QSRs seeing a 59% surge in demand.

To meet this growing appetite, Koriken plans to expand its flagship and high-street outlets, drive product innovation and boost brand visibility. 

The company will also enhance operational efficiency by scaling kitchen systems for speed and consistency, blending authentic Korean flavors with Indian culinary touches and strengthening its team to support growth.
