Kitchenware startup Cumin Co raises $5 million led by Fireside Ventures

Cumin Co., a kitchenware startup focusing on toxin-free cookware, has raised $5 million in a pre-series A funding round led by Fireside Ventures.

The round also saw participation from existing backers Huddle Ventures and Alteria Capital, as well as new investors Atrium Angels, Mokobara founders Sangeet Agrawal and Navin Parwal, and tracxn founder Abhishek Goyal.

The startup plans to use the funds to improve its enamel-coating technology, build its own manufacturing capabilities, educate consumers about healthier cookware, and grow its team across departments.

“Health has become the new flex. Just as people moved from regular oils to olive oil and now to avocado oil, we’re seeing a similar shift in cookware, with growing awareness around what goes into non-stick pans and everyday kitchen tools,” said cofounder Joshi.

Launched in February 2025 by husband-and-wife duo Udit Lekhi and Niharika Joshi, the Gurugram-based Cumin Co combines thoughtful design with everyday functionality, while avoiding the harmful chemicals often found in traditional non-stick or metal cookware.

The brand currently sells through its own website, Amazon, and quick commerce platforms such as Blinkit, Zepto, and Instamart, according to the statement.
