Healthtech startup ErlySign Raises Rs 16 Cr In Pre-series A Round

Healthtech startup CURO Biosciences, also known as ErlySign has raised INR 16 Cr (around $1.8 Mn) in Pre-Series A funding round from Ashish Kacholia to further develop its cancer diagnostic solutions. 

The startup plans to use the funds for clinical trials, getting approvals from the Central Drugs Standard Control Organisation (CDSCO) and launching ErlySign’s oral cancer detection kit.

Shubhendra Singh Thakur, CEO and Founder of ErlySign, said, “Our initial studies revealed exceptional results, achieving 100% specificity and 98.04% sensitivity. The product now in the final stages of clinical trials across multiple HCG sites, promises to be a game-changer. Beyond early detection it will serve as a critical screening tool to eliminate unnecessary biopsies and invasive procedures.” 

ErlySign plans to use CRISPR miRNA-based testing technology to detect multiple types of cancer with a single saliva sample in just 15–20 minutes. This advanced technology could change cancer diagnostics by making early detection more accurate and accessible.

The company also claims to offer India’s first saliva-based test that can identify pre-cancerous conditions before visible symptoms appear.

This biomarker-based test kit can detect oral pre-cancerous conditions in just 15 minutes using a saliva sample, allowing for timely treatment.
