Harvested Robotics Raises Rs 5 Cr In Seed Round From Arali Ventures, Others

AI-driven laser weeding startup Harvested Robotics has raised Rs 5 crore in a seed funding round led by Arali Ventures.

The round also saw participation from Anand Mahindra (Chairman of Mahindra Group) and Chakradhar Gade (Co-founder of Country Delight).

The startup plans to use the fresh funds for product development, team expansion and pilot projects.

Harvested Robotics has raised a total of $21.8K over two funding rounds, including a recent $12K grant from Kerala Startup Mission in June 2024.

The company aims to offer farmers a sustainable, chemical-free alternative to traditional weed management.

Founded in 2023 by Rahul Arepaka and George Mathew, the Hyderabad- based Harvested Robotics has developed an AI-powered laser weeder that attaches to tractors. It uses cameras and AI to detect weeds and robotic actuators with high-powered lasers to burn them in real-time. 

The technology is designed to lower costs for farmers, increase crop yields, and support organic farming practices, ensuring weeds are removed without harming crops.

The startup's solution includes adaptable software and robotic hardware that can be attached to tractors and powered by them and providing an affordable alternative to expensive, labor-intensive weed control methods.
