Handloom Clothing Brand Dressfolk Secures Fresh Funding

Gurugram- based Dressfolk, a handloom clothing brand, has raised an undisclosed amount of funding led by Eternal Capital. 

The round also saw participation from D2C founders Ghazal Alagh (Mamaearth) and Dhruv Kohli (Boba Bhai), Nobody Ventures, Eagle Wings Ventures, with existing investors, including All In Capital, Sidhant Keshwani (Libas) Vidur Kataria (Master Chow) along with 3 Peaks Ventures.

The startup plans to use the fresh funds to help the brand quickly expand its range beyond sarees and develop a wider collection of modern Indian wear.

Nitin Mehrotra, founder and CEO of Dressfolk, said, "Dressfolk focuses on marrying design and comfort, which deeply resonates with our customers. Wearing authentic handlooms and craftsmanship is a matter of pride for the people and the newly raised funds will enable us to rapidly expand our offerings beyond sarees and build a broader portfolio of contemporary Indian wear."

About Dressfolk 

Founded in 2017 by Nitin Mehrotra, Dressfolk focuses on supporting local artisans and promoting sustainable fashion.

Dressfolk aims to take Indian handloom products global by launching a new international website.

In addition to its website, the brand has expanded its reach through popular marketplaces like Aza Fashions, Nykaa, and Myntra, and by hosting pop-up events across India.

The brand says it grew by nearly 200% in FY24 and has an average order value of over Rs 7,000. Its goal is to modernize traditional Indian weaves while supporting the local weaver community. Currently, it works with over 800 weavers and 120 artisans across six states.
