"Jitendra and his team are passionately committed to positioning India as the world’s leading hub for human hair products, and we are excited to be part of this visionary journey,”  said, Rakesh Kapoor, founder, 12 Flags Consumer Holdings.

Dhruv Kapoor, partner at Anicut Capital, said, “India has been the global leader in the export of human hair. While India exports more than 85 percent of raw human hair, China captures the majority of the value-added market by selling to global markets in the form of hair extensions and wigs. Hair Originals is capturing value in India by building an omni-channel brand of premium hair extension products through the supply chain and manufacturing focus."

In December 2023, Hair Originals raised $2.75 mililion in its pre-Series A funding round from Anicut Capital, Kesh Kala Family Office, Lets Venture, among others.

Hair Originals appeared on the first season of Shark Tank India and secured funding from Ashneer Grover, Peyush Bansal and Anupam Mittal.
