Greenie Energy, an electric vehicle (EV) charging start-up, has raised $600,000 (around ₹5 crore) in seed funding.
The investment came from notable backers including Rajesh Advani, Managing Director of Sun-N-Sand Hotels, AIC Pinnacle Entrepreneurship Forum, Ashwin Ramesh (Co-Founder of Primary Advisors), and Rajaram Ajgaonkar (Chartered Accountant).
Funding Utilisation
The funds will help Greenie Energy expand its goal of setting up over 5,000 EV charging points across India by 2025. The company also plans to develop innovative solutions for India’s growing EV market.
Greenie Energy’s solutions are affordable and convenient, designed for places like housing societies, commercial buildings, and public parking. Their main product allows standard electrical outlets to be upgraded into smart EV charging points, managed through a mobile app.
Greenie Energy aims to support India’s shift to cleaner transportation by providing reliable and accessible EV charging infrastructure.
Istayak Ansari, Director and Co-Founder of Greenie Energy said, “We are proud to have installed more than 550 charging points across 120 locations in six cities, collaborating with housing societies, real estate developers, and hospitality groups, This funding will enable us to expand our network to meet the goal of 5,000 charging points by 2025 and develop next-generation products to support the EV transition.”
