GreenFi raises $2 million in seed round led by Transition VC

The startup said it will use the new funds to grow its global distribution network, improve its AI products, and expand its presence in California, Europe, Southeast Asia, and the Middle East.

GreenFi raises $2 million in seed round led by Transition VC

GreenFi, an ESG risk management platform has raised has raised $2 Mn (INR 17.7 Cr) in a seed funding round led by Transition VC, with participation from undisclosed angel investors.

The startup said it will use the new funds to grow its global distribution network, improve its AI products, and expand its presence in California, Europe, Southeast Asia, and the Middle East.

"We're actively on the lookout for good talent, and fundraising comes with a lot of excitement (and) responsibilities,” founder and CEO Barun Chandran said.

“As ESG risks increasingly influence underwriting and financial performance, GreenFi stands out for building an end-to-end, AI-driven platform that helps financial institutions monitor, assess, and underwrite their customers more intelligently,” said Mohammed Shoeb Ali, managing partner and cofounder, Transition VC.

About GreenFi 

Founded in 2023 by Barun Chandran, the Singapore-headquartered GreenFi offers an AI-powered SaaS platform that helps financial institutions and companies identify, track and manage environmental, social, and governance (ESG) risks, opportunities and compliance requirements.

The platform brings together ESG data from various sources—such as annual reports, company disclosures, alternative datasets, and media coverage—into one easy-to-use dashboard.

With its no-code AI tools that use deep learning and natural language processing, GreenFi enables clients to perform ESG due diligence, assess supply chain partners, and gain insights for better decision-making.

The startup currently serves clients in Singapore, India, Europe, and the US, including United Overseas Bank (UOB), Kerala Infrastructure Investment Fund Board (KIIFB), and Wattsun Energy.
