Entellus Industries Secures INR 50 Cr in Funding

Entellus Industries, a company that makes rare earth metals and alloys, has raised ₹50 crore (around $5.5 million) in its second round of funding.

The funding round was led by ZeroW, a niche investment firm that invests in deep-tech and emerging sectors, with backing from the Mekapati Family Office of KMC Group. ValPro served as the transaction adviser for the deal.

According to the company, the new funding will be used for capital investment to expand into sintered alloys and to commercialize its current products. Entellus said the expansion is expected to enable the production of about 2,000 tonnes of magnets per year.

Simha Kumar, CEO of Entellus Industries, said, "Proving technical capabilities in rare earth metal and alloy manufacturing is non-trivial and we are the first ones to achieve it verifiably in India. We wish to use this advantage in making India a truly global hub for rare earth magnet manufacturing."

About Entellus 

Founded in 2022, the Chennai-based Entellus manufactures rare earth metals and alloys such as neodymium-praseodymium (NdPr) metal, bonded powders, and strip-cast alloys. These materials are essential for making permanent magnets used in electric vehicles, wind energy, defence, and advanced electronics.

The company is setting up its manufacturing facility in Tamil Nadu.

Earlier, the company raised $12 million from Social Capital, a Silicon Valley–based venture capital firm. The funding was used to start operations and set up NdPr metal and bonded powder alloy manufacturing units in Tamil Nadu.
