google has made a strategic investment in Emergent, a no-code platform that lets users create fully functional applications without any coding.
The investment is through Google’s AI Futures Fund, launched in May 2025 to support AI startups with funding, early access to Google’s models, and technical guidance.
Emergent said it will use the funding to hire more staff, speed up product development, and support its global expansion.

The investment amount was not disclosed. The company had earlier raised $23 million in a Series A round led by Lightspeed, with participation from Prosus Ventures, Together Fund, and Y Combinator.
The deal comes as demand rises for agent-driven automation and task execution, with AI use expanding from content creation to developing tools, products, and workflows.
“Not every business founder has the technology expertise or resources to make their dream a reality. With Emergent, we’re giving small business owners, creators, and entrepreneurs the tools to bring their vision to life, no matter the complexity. We’re honoured to be supported by Google’s AI Futures Fund and are excited to leverage Google’s industry-leading AI technology to further empower Emergent for our rapidly growing user base,” said Mukund Jha, Co-founder and CEO of Emergent, in a statement.
“The AI Futures Fund is all about reimagining what can be accomplished with generative AI. Emergent’s work is helping people make their ideas a reality, breaking down barriers, and democratising access to the tools businesses need to build their technologystack. We look forward to supporting them on their journey as they build with Gemini 3, and we can’t wait to see what they do next,” said Jonathan Silber, Co-founder and Director of AI Futures Fund at Google.

The startup says it has reached 2.5 million users worldwide within five months of launch and has exceeded a $25 million annual recurring revenue (ARR) run rate.
