Early-stage Venture Capital Firm Riceberg Ventures Secures $20 Million Fund

Early-stage venture capital firm Riceberg Ventures has launched a $20 million fund to support deeptech startups, including space-tech.

The fund, backed by a group of investors, aims to fill the funding gap in this sector by providing early-stage capital to startups. It not only funds startups but also offers hands-on support to help them achieve product-market fit (PMF) through its global network of deeptech business and technical experts.

Riceberg Ventures plans to invest in 25-30 startups worldwide, with an average investment of $0.5 million per startup. The fund will focus on high-growth areas like space-tech, medtech, cybersecurity, AI, robotics, energy, semiconductors, and quantum computing.

With operations in Europe, the US, and India, the firm aims to help emerging deeptech sectors grow, especially Indian startups, by supporting them in developing advanced tech solutions.

The firm uses its network of top scientists and experts to guide startups from idea to commercialization. Its presence in the US and Europe also gives portfolio companies access to a global network of venture capitalists for co-investments and further funding.

Riceberg Ventures has partnered with E2MC Ventures and runs KickSky, India’s first dedicated space-tech accelerator. The second cohort of this program is set to launch in January 2025.

Riceberg Ventures has invested in startups like Manastu Space, Signatur Biosciences, EtherealX, Keyron Medical, and Arch0. The firm is led by Uday Desai and Prasad Chaganti.
