Dashverse raises $13 million from Peak XV Partners, others

Dashverse, an AI entertainment startup has raised $13 Mn (around INR 108.3 Cr) in a Series A funding round led by Peak XV Partners.

The round also saw participation from existing investors Z47 (formerly Matrix Partners India) and Stellaris Venture Partners.

The funds will be used to enhance Dashverse’s AI capabilities, fuel product innovation, and speed up global adoption among creators.

Last year, Dashverse secured $5 million in seed funding from Z47 and Stellaris Venture Partners.

This funding fuels our mission to build the creative infrastructure for this shift where mobile-first, serialized content becomes the default, not the exception.”

Founded in 2023 by Sanidhya Narain, Lalith Gudipati and Soumyadeep Mukherjee, Dashverse began with Dashtoon, an AI-powered digital comics platform, before branching into AI-generated video content through Frameo.AI.

Its latest offering, DashReels, brings these microdramas to a global audience. Together, the platforms claim over 20 million users worldwide.

Currently available only in Hindi, the app will add Tamil and Telugu this month, with 10 more languages planned in the coming months. It operates on a subscription model, sharing revenue with creators—similar to YouTube—based on video view counts.
