Cogniquest AI Bags $1.2Mn Seed Funding Led By Cedar IBSI Capital

Cogniquest, a context-aware document intelligence platform has raised $1.2 million in its seed funding round led by Cedar IBSI Capital.

Dexter Venture and more than 30 angel investors through AngelList and Congniphy US also participated in this round.

The angel investors in this round include Dhiraj Sinha (former CapGemini and Dell, now Founder of QuantGro), Umashankar Malapaka (former Infosys), Visveswara Gupta (former Infosys), Rajesh Bhat (former MD Accenture), Anup Naik (Co-founder of Zeliot), Vimal Singh (Founder of ReadyAsssist), Santosh Rao (CFO of Zeliot), Deepti Kalghatgi (tech entrepreneur) and Dr. Nirmal Bansal, the company said.

The startup plans to use the funds to speed up product development, grow its document intelligence platform, and expand its presence in key industries like finance, healthcare and logistics. 

Cogniquest also plans to add GenAI and Conversational AI to improve its products and is looking to expand globally, focusing on the US and Asia-Pacific regions.

In January, the startup added industry veterans U B Pravin Rao, former COO of Infosys and ex-NASSCOM Chairman, and Ralph Groce, former CIO of Wells Fargo, to its advisory board.
