About Carbon Masters

Co-founded by Som Narayan and Kevin Houston, Carbon Masters transforms organic waste destined for landfills into renewable biomethane and nutrient-rich organic manure under its Carbonlites brand. The company partners with waste management firms through SPVs and JVs.

Its flagship JV with Hasiru Dala Innovations operates one of Bengaluru’s few authorised wet waste facilities, with GAIL-approved pipeline injection to supply biomethane to India’s gas grid.

Carbon Masters produces Compressed Bio-Methane Gas (CBG) and bio-enriched manure for commercial kitchens, industries, transport fleets, and city gas networks, while enhancing soil health.

With five CBG plants across Karnataka, Telangana, and Tamil Nadu, the company processes over 36,000 tonnes of municipal waste annually. Carbon Masters is preparing a new equity raise to fund five upcoming SPVs, with Ostara Advisors as transaction advisor.
