Akashalabdhi secures $1.2 Mn in pre‑Seed funding round

Bengaluru-based aerospace startup Akashalabdhi has raised $1.2 million in a pre-seed funding round from Uday Chatterjee, Romesh Sobti, Suraj Nalin, LVX, 1Crowd, and Riceberg Ventures.

This funding is set to accelerate the development of ANTARIKSHAB, India’s first expandable orbital habitat, supporting microgravity research and defence logistics and marking a key milestone for India’s private space sector.

The funds will also support related initiatives, including inflatable solar arrays, analogue environment studies, and the first orbital launch of its MVP.

“Our vision is clear, we want to put india at the forefront of orbital infrastructure and space habitation by innovating dual use technologies,” Siddharth Jena, founder of Akashalabdhi. 

“The successful close of our pre-seed round is a significant milestone that brings us closer to this goal. With the support of our investors, we are one step closer to making ANTARIKSHAB a global reality," he added.
