AI startup Ikonz Studios Raises Pre-Seed A Funding

Ikonz Studios, a startup for AI-powered digital avatars and holographic experience, has raised undisclosed funding in a pre-series A round from Marc Jordan of Blue Amber Investments and State of the Art Entertainment.

In addition to Jordan, who has worked with artists like Beyonce, Rihanna, and Imagine Dragons and is involved with Blue Amber Investments and State of the Art Entertainment, the funding round also included Expedia's CTO Ramana Thummu, who was previously the CTO of Fanatics Commerce. Renowned investor Madhusudan Kela and Akash Bhanshali, the principal owner of Enam Group, joined as strategic investors through their family offices. 

Although the company hasn't revealed the amount raised in the Series-A round, sources say the company is currently valued at $80 million.

Funding Utilisation 

Ikonz will use the new funding to grow faster, focusing on acquiring and developing valuable digital IPs. The company plans to expand its team from 34 to nearly 100 employees, with 80% in India and 20% in the U.S., hiring for both technical and non-technical roles.

Ikonz is also enhancing its AI with real-time voice, video processing, and visual recognition, allowing AI avatars to interact with users in both digital and physical spaces. At the same time, it is building a dedicated U.S. team to strengthen its presence in North America.
