GenAI-focused security startup Repello AI has raised $1.2 million in seed funding round from Venture Highway, Pi Ventures, and Entrepreneur First.
Angel investors, including Meta board member Charles Songhurst, Sarvam AI CEO Vivek Raghavan, and Satya Vas, CEO of Project Hero, also participated in this round.
The startup plans to utilise the funds to expand its product range, strengthen its brand, increase customer reach, and partner with companies worldwide.

“We’re at an inflection point where AI adoption is accelerating faster than security solutions can keep pace,” said Aryaman Behera, co-founder and CEO of Repello. “Enterprises are deploying generative AI across every function, but they’re doing it with yesterday’s security playbook.”
Behera pointed to real-world failures—like a car dealership chatbot approving $1 purchases—as proof that AI safety must be a priority. He compared unsecured generative AI applications to a house without a door.
About Repello
Founded in 2024 by IIT Roorkee alumni Aryaman Behera and Naman Mishra, Repello protects generative AI systems by simulating real-world attacks with its products to identify weaknesses and suggest ways to fix and secure them.
The company’s main product, ARTEMIS (Automated Red Teaming Engine for Mapping, Identification and Scanning), scans generative AI models for weaknesses across text, image, and audio. Alongside it, Repello Guard acts in real time to block unsafe outputs and detect risks like prompt injection, prompt leaks, or competitor mentions.
Repello’s engineering, product, and R&D teams are in Bengaluru, while its sales and marketing teams operate from San Francisco.
Repello AI says it is already working with companies like groww and PhysicsWallah, and is testing its solutions through proof of concepts (POCs) in the US, Europe, and the Middle East.
