About Pehle Jaisa
Founded in 2022 by Pankaj Pandey, Ehtesham Farooqui, Shabih Abbas, Sumit Suman, Wasim Akhtar and Mantosh Kumar, Pehle Jaisa provides organic fertilizers for the agriculture sector, with a focus on localizing production by working directly with waste centers. By cutting out the "first mile" costs in manufacturing, the company aims to offer high-quality fertilizers at affordable prices.
Its vision is to make every village in India self-sufficient — producing its own gas, electricity, and fertilizers. Through local production, Pehle Jaisa hopes to build a circular rural economy that supports sustainability, resilience, and long-term growth.
The company began with soil conditioners and bio-stimulants and is now developing a range of organic fertilizers customized for different crops and soil types across regions.
In just eight months of operations, the startup sold over 500 metric tonnes of fertilizer in FY24. In FY25, it tripled that by selling over 1,500 metric tonnes of value-added fertilizers, generating more than ₹2.5 crore in revenue. Looking ahead, the company aims to cross ₹100 crore in revenue in the coming years.
