About Fragaria

Founded in 2024 by Harish Varadharajan, Timothy Chad Van Niekerk, and Damian López-Salazar, the Chennai-based Fragaria Fruits aims to solve a key problem in India’s fruit market: the lack of consistently fresh, high-quality fruit all year. The startup wants to improve the fruit-eating experience by delivering premium, sustainably grown produce using modern farming methods.

Its flagship brand, Oh! Fruits, offers European strawberries grown in Chennai with advanced vertical farming. These strawberries are twice as sweet as regular Indian varieties, pesticide-free, and last up to three times longer.

The company focuses on sustainability through water recycling, solar power, and reducing the environmental impact of farming while keeping prices affordable.
