Agrileaf, a maker and exporter of biodegradable dinnerware, has raised Rs 16 crore in growth funding, led by Capital A and Samarsh Capital. Angel investors like Shaji Devekar, Siddharth Bafna, and others also joined the round.

The funds will be used to grow its presence in the US and Europe, create a consumer brand in India, and boost production capacity.
Founded in 2019 by Avinash Rao and Athishay Jain, Agrileaf produces and exports areca leaf tableware, offering high-quality, eco-friendly products.
The company combines a strong areca leaf supply chain with advanced robotics and AI-driven quality checks to deliver backyard-compostable products that meet market and environmental demands.

Based in Mangalore, Agrileaf offers a sustainable and durable alternative to plastic, paper, and bagasse plates. The company sources areca leaves responsibly to support local farmers and aims to promote a zero-waste, eco-friendly future with globally available solutions.
Agrileaf plans to produce up to 300,000 dinnerware items daily by the end of 2025 and has already created over 1,000 jobs, boosting rural economic growth.
