[Funding alert] Adventures Overland raises $1 mn in funding

Adventures Overland, a travel company has raised $1 million from Shalin and Nishita Sarvaiya and Ashok Shah, partners at garment export house, Adam Exports. 

Adventures Overland, a travel company has raised $1 million from Shalin and Nishita Sarvaiya and Ashok Shah, partners at garment export house, Adam Exports. 

The startup plans to use the funds to organize experiential travel globally, including cross-border road trips. It is also entering the US and UK markets in Phase 1 of its global outreach initiative.

The Gurugram-based Adventures Overland was founded in 2012 by Sanjay Madan and Tushar Agarwal, It offers life-changing road trips and cross-border drives across six continents.

The startup has so far completed over 100 operations in 80 countries, serving over 1,000 customers.

“Every single route in each country has been vetted to ensure that the journey is seamless. We take charge of documentation, paperwork, visas and permits to ensure that the entire focus of participants is on experiencing the journey. We ensure an experienced English-speaking local guide is travelling with the group at all hours to ensure personal safety, smooth communication, and travel. The bus on this journey is being customised to add all the necessities, comforts and luxuries which will ensure that participants travel in the lap of luxury from Delhi to London,” said Tushar Agarwal, cofounder and Director, Adventures Overland.

Earlier this year, they launched another truly historic, unprecedented and extraordinary bus tour – Singapore by Bus. Participants in this epic journey will travel across five countries covering 4500 in 20 days.

The company plans to run buses from Delhi to London in 2023.

“It will help us take the brand footprints across the globe. We plan on opening offices in six continents and investing into a fleet of 4×4 SUVs to cater to the huge demand of experiential travel. With this round of funding, the company plans to organise 1000 trips globally over the next three years. A sizeable chunk of the funding will also be used for global marketing, infrastructure upgradation, product development, content creation and expansion into tier 2 cities”, said, Sanjay Madan, co-founder and Director, Adventures Overland.
