Freshworks Appoints Murali Swaminathan as CTO

Murali Swaminathan has been appointed as the new Chief Technology Officer (CTO) of Freshworks.

In this capacity, Swaminathan will be accountable for the technology roadmap and strategy of Freshworks, serving as the leader of the company’s global engineering and architecture teams.

Dennis Woodside, the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) and President of Freshworks, will be his immediate supervisor. Woodside succeeded the company’s long-standing CEO, Girish Mathrubootham, in May of this year.

Before joining Freshworks, Swaminathan was the Vice President of Engineering at ServiceNow. His appointment coincides with Freshworks’ ongoing expansion of its product line and revenue.

The company’s operating revenue was $174.1 million in the quarter ending June 2024, an increase from $165.1 million in the first quarter of the current fiscal year.
