A Series A round of funding led by Baring Private Equity Partners India raised Rs 61 crore for Bengaluru-based women's occasion-wear company Koskii.
The additional funds will be used to expand Koskii's physical locations, build out its online presence, buy technology platforms, and hire more staff. The investment financial services firm Steer Advisors also took part in the funding round, as per reported by BW Disrupt.

Women between the ages of 18 and 35 make up Koskii's target market, and the company is committed to offering them gorgeous, high-quality clothing that they can feel confident wearing on any occasion.
Founded in 2016 by the brothers Umar Akhter, Sameen Eajaz, and Haroon Rashid, along with their sister Ayesha Saubia, Koskii has become a significant player in the market for women's event wear.
It has offices in Bengaluru, Chennai, Delhi, Coimbatore, and Hyderabad, with expectations to expand. The company ships to over ten thousand Indian pin codes online. The brand is also expanding abroad.
