[Funding alert] Edtech startup Student Ink raises funding from We Founder Circle
An edtech platform called Student Ink has received an undisclosed seed round of funding from We Founder Circle (WFC) through its accelerator programme, EvolveX.

An edtech platform called Student Ink has received an undisclosed seed round of funding from We Founder Circle (WFC) through its accelerator programme, EvolveX.

In addition to taking part in the funding round, WFC has worked with other strategic angels to help the firm reinforce its operational effectiveness. Through EvolveX, a worldwide accelerator programme run by We Founder Circle, the funds were made available.

According to the startup, it would utilise the money to scale its platform more quickly.

“We sincerely appreciate our lead investor WFC’s and all other investors’ faith in our model and concept. The investment will pay off and contribute to the hyper growth of our business, allowing us to scale our platform more rapidly. Our business model is already profitable, and with such strategic angels on board, we intend to achieve our ambition of disrupting the industry at an accelerated pace,” said Nihar Sheth, co-founder and CEO, Student Ink.

Nihar Sheth, Jayraj Jadeja, and Kevin Ritter founded Student Ink, which offers students UI/UX-like social media with curated and targeted educational content to reduce the amount of time they spend online browsing depending on their needs and curricula.

“Seeing the ever-increasing demand for edtech education and Student Ink’s potential to be a major disruptor, we are excited to have invested in the startup and we promise to provide support to its mission of transforming the education sector in India. Also, at WFC we are dedicated to revitalising the funding to Indian edtech startups, especially at a time when investors have major apprehension of a slowdown,” said Gaurav VK Singhvi, co-founder, We Founder Circle.

With more than 300 schools, 6,000 educators, and 1,60,000 users now registered, Student Ink has successfully attained an average engagement time of 22 minutes from children spread throughout 14 states in India.
