[Funding News] Drone tech Startup Skye Air Secures $4 Mn From Mount Judi Ventures, Others

Mount Judi Ventures led the $4 million (about INR 33.4 crore) Series A investment round for drone firm Skye Air Mobility.

According to Ankit Kumar, the cofounder and CEO of the firm, additional investors in the investment round included Chiratae Ventures, Venture Catalyst, Windrose Capital, Tremis Capital, Faad Capital, Misfits Capital, Hyderabad Angels, and Soonicorn Ventures, as reported by Inc42.

The startup’s primary uses for the funding will be expansion of its infrastructure and development of products. In the following 18 months, it also hopes to expand its workforce to about 200 people, according to the CEO.

The business and Flipkart Health undertook the longest BVLOS drug delivery flight (104 km) between Baruipur and Medinipur in West Bengal, lowering delivery time by ~80% compared to traditional methods.
