Facets.cloud, an online infrastructure management platform, has raised $4 million in a venture fundraising round headed by 3one4 Capital. The technology boosts developer productivity by automating cloud deployment operations.

Facets.cloud was created as a solution for Capillary Technologies’ internal use solely. Choudhury was chief technology officer at Capillary Technologies for ten years, Sao was chief architect, and Raveendran was principal architect – all essential members of the homegrown software-as-a-service firm that offers solutions for loyalty management and consumer engagement, as per reported by The Economics Times.
The Facets platform unifies all cloud deployment processes into a single generative internal developer platform. Built on the DevOps principle, this method to productizing internal platforms for developer self-service is gaining traction and is known as platform engineering. The Bengaluru-based firm presently has 15 enterprise-scale clients and a number of early-stage startup clients. These are found in India and portions of Southeast Asia.

“We are doing partial experiments in the United Kingdom and then also with channel partners in India because it makes sense to partner with service-based companies to pitch to their clients. We are trying to position this as a platform engineering product, this category is just starting to evolve,” Choudhury told ET.
According to Choudhury, facets will necessitate significant technological investments due to the dynamic nature of the platform engineering domain and the scarcity of reference solutions. The company is now developing its go-to-market strategy in the United States, with the goal of generating 50% of its revenue from the region he added. Facets.cloud currently has 30 employees.
