Toothsi, a dental Startup has raised $40 million in Series C funding round from Eight Roads Ventures, Paramark, IIFL, and the family office of Medlife co-founders: Prashant Singh and Tushar Kumar.
Existing investors Think Investments and the Mankekar family, and new angel investors like Aditya Puri (former managing director of HDFC Bank) and Karan Singh (managing partner of Bain & Company’s India offices).
The startup plans to use the funds to advance its technology platform and operations to ensure a seamless customer experience throughout the treatment journey and also invest in robotic automation for alignment manufacturing.
The Mumbai-based Toothsi was founded in 2018 by orthodontists Arpi Mehta Shah, Pravin Shetty, Manjul Jain, and Anirudh Kale, It allows patients to straighten teeth at home with invisible, 3D-printed Clear Aligner technology.
“The brand intends to be the one-stop platform for doctor-directed solutions for cosmetic dentistry and dermatology. The support of our investors has empowered us to bring to life our vision of building a first-of-its-kind clinical beauty technology brand. We, at Toothsi, intend to use this capital to build a great team for further geographic penetration and category expansion”, said, Dr Arpi Mehta Shah, co-founder and CEO, Toothsi.
It has served over 140,000 customers through a pan-India network of over 2,000 partner dental centres.
It is also looking to further expand the availability of the Toothsi brand to Tier-II cities in the near future.

The dental startup’s sister brand ‘Skinnsi’ offers at-home laser-assisted cosmetology services. Over the past few months, the startup has also introduced a variety of dental and skin self-care products including a teeth whitening and oral hygiene product line.
Founded in 2018, Toothsi offers an at-home smile makeover service. With their sparkling presence pan-India, they have expertly designed 1,00,000+ smiles. Their selectively curated in-house orthodontists with over 10 years of experience in the aligner industry as part of 100+ in-house dental professionals.
