DBS Foundation Accepts 2024 Grant Applications

The DBS Foundation is currently accepting applications for its 2024 Grant, which offers financial support to businesses that are purpose-driven and innovative in their approach to addressing urgent social issues throughout Asia.

The DBS Foundation is currently accepting applications for its 2024 Grant, which offers financial support to businesses that are purpose-driven and innovative in their approach to addressing urgent social issues throughout Asia.

The DBS Foundation Grant will assist enterprises in financing a variety of growth initiatives, such as the development of new products, the expansion of product or service offerings, the establishment of the necessary infrastructure for growth, and the entry into new markets. In addition to financing, the Grant recipients have the opportunity to leverage the bank's resources, expertise, and networks to access capacity-building, mentorship, and preferential banking solutions.

Since 2014, the DBS Foundation has provided over SGD 17 million in grant funding to approximately 140 Businesses for Impact (BFIs), which are businesses that have a dual bottom line of profit and impact. These businesses are able to develop sustainably and generate social and/or environmental impact. Additionally, it has provided support and development programs to 1,200 additional individuals.

The DBS Foundation Grant is designed to resolve the funding obstacles encountered by small and medium enterprises (SMEs) and purpose-driven social enterprises. It bridges this divide by offering flexible capital that is customized to their requirements. In contrast to conventional capital, which is orientated towards immediate returns, the DBS Foundation Grant adopts a long-term perspective on the development of enterprises that are driven by impact. It provides a critical runway for innovators to capitalize on and scale their models sustainably before profitability is achieved, while also assisting these businesses in aligning their mission with their growth strategy.
