Creator marketing startup UPCRED has raised Rs. 3.3 crore in a pre-seed round from angel investors, including entrepreneur Syed Firdous Hussain and Gayatri Nikkam.
The startup said that funds will be used to develop products and prepare the platform for market launch.
The company foresees the potential of the creator industry and knows that it is rapidly expanding. With many creators constantly carving out content, UPCRED believes in creating an ecosystem that encompasses creator commerce as well as creator growth tools.
“With 2022 touted as the Year of Creators, we believe UPCRED is going to be at the forefront of the creator economy. We believe the products we are building will empower millions of creators,” Syed Firdous Hussain and Gayatri Nikkam, said in a statement.
Founded in 2021 by Sanjay Choudhary, Dharmpal Chaudhary, and Aditya Bhattacharjee, UPCRED is a global technology platform to empower the world’s creators to be as economically successful as possible. It aspires to help creators grow their own brands and develop more partnerships with other brands and businesses.
UPCRED is headquartered in Bangalore, India, and currently operates across Pan India. UPCRED, is trying to identify new advertising opportunities in growth areas like US, UK, Singapore, and Japan.
