[Funding News] CoRover Raises $4 Mn Series A Funding Round from Venture Catalysts

Venture Catalysts has led the Series A round of $4 million that conversational AI startup CoRover has completed.

Cogniphy LLC, Karekeba Ventures, Lead Angels, IIM Calcutta (Innovation Park), IIIT Delhi (iHub Anubhuti IIITD Foundation), and CanBank Venture Capital Fund (CVCFL) are among the entities that have contributed.

The proceeds will be allocated to the advancement of its technology, the expansion of its AI team, and the acceleration of its go-to-market strategy. Additionally, it intends to improve its enterprise (B2G and B2B), B2B2C, and B2C offerings, as well as investigate new revenue streams through subscription-based models, ad-based revenue, and transaction-based fees.

The Bengaluru-based startup had previously secured an undisclosed sum from Canbank Venture Capital Fund Ltd (CVCFL) from its fund VI in July 2021.

CoRover, which was established by Ankush Sabharwal, Kunal Bhakhri, and Manav Gandotra, provides a managed Chatbot as a Service (CaaS) with self-onboarding support, as well as an AI-based VideoBot platform, to assist organizations in reducing costs, accelerating revenue, and enhancing operational efficiency and customer experience.

CoRover provides AI bot services through a variety of channels, including the website, app, WhatsApp, IVR, SMS, Microsoft Teams, and other social media and instant messaging platforms. These services are available in a variety of formats, including text, audio, and video. Additionally, CoRover supports approximately 12 Indian/vernacular languages and over 100 foreign languages.
