Anandabazar Patrika is a Bengali newspaper was published in 1876. The internet edition of the newspaper was launched in 2001. It is the most widely circulated and read Bengali news portal in India. Anand Bazar Patrika  is now also known as ABP Network  Group. Under in this group  popular channels care  ABP Ananda, ABP Asmita, ABP Majha, ABP Sanjha,  ABP Ganga and ABP Live.

Who is the owner of Anandabazar?

The newspaper made its debut on March 13, 1922, under new ownership, with a strong stance against British rule. Initially, it was published as a four-page evening daily in same year. Following passing of Prafulla Kumar Sarkar, his son Ashok Kumar Sarkar took reins and revamped publication. A notable innovation was introduction of colour printing, which was first featured in the magazine's features section. Newspaper expanded its reach with launch of its online edition in 2001, catering to community with news and printed advertisements. In 2010, the ABP Group partnered with Time Inc. to publish Fortune India magazine, which annually releases prestigious Fortune India 500 list.
