CommerceIQ acquires UK-based analytics provider e.fundamentals

CommerceIQ, the leading Retail Ecommerce Management Platform has acquired digital shelf analytics provider e.fundamentals for an undisclosed amount.

With this acquisition, John Maltman, CEO of e.fundamentals, will merge operations with CommerceIQ.

The deal will help CommerceIQ expand its global e-commerce retailer coverage, allowing consumer brands to increase their market share in high inflation and supply-constrained environment, the company said in a statement.

CommerceIQ became a unicorn in March of this year when it raised $115 million in funding led by the SoftBank Vision Fund II at a valuation of over $1 billion.

“Customers are asking us to accelerate our coverage to global retailers (such as Amazon, Walmart, Target, and Instacart) important to their business. Our acquisition of e.fundamentals adds digital shelf analytics and support for over 450 retailers across 41 countries,” said, Guru Hariharan, founder and chief executive officer (CEO) of CommerceIQ.

“We are now the first platform to connect and intelligently automate across the shelf, sales, supply chain, and advertising”, he added.

CommerceIQ was founded in 2012 by Guru Hariharan, It leverages machine learning, analytics and automation to optimize e-commerce channels in the supply chain, and marketing and sales operations functions to win over the consumer at the time of purchase and drive profitable market share growth.

It currently offers its customers retailer coverage and local support in the US, EMEA and APAC regions.

“We built a digital shelf product loved by large global manufacturers. Increasingly, our clients are asking us to help them to take action faster,” said John Maltman, chief executive officer of e.fundamentals.
