Healthtech startup Cloudphysician, a full-stack tech and business company, appointed Dr. Mandar Vaidya CEO of India.
Mandar has more than twenty years of experience running global businesses and making big changes. As a partner at McKinsey & Co., he oversaw the healthcare business in Asia and created strategies for hospitals and drug companies. This will help Cloudphysician better serve its partner hospitals and boost growth across India.
Mandar Vaidya was the regional CEO of OYO for four years. In that role, he was in charge of several areas outside of India, including Europe, Southeast Asia, the Middle East, and Japan. Through the use of technology, he led profitable and transformative growth in these areas, building scale from India for the world.

Additionally, Mandar is an independent director on the board of Cipla Limited. His experience in driving growth and innovation for global companies over the last 20 years will help foster a long-term institutional approach within Cloudphysician.
The most recent funding round for Cloudphysician was led by Peak XV Partners and included Elevar Equity and the venture debt company Panthera Peak. The round raised $10.5 million. Mandar wants to open up new ways for hospitals all over the world to get high-quality urgent care that is easy to get, useful for many patients, and affordable.
